Prayer is a very powerful gift that God has given to us – if used correctly. As Jesus demonstrated with the fig tree (Mark 11:12-25), there are three main qualities necessary for powerful prayer: unwavering faith in God, confidence in God’s ability to answer, and forgiveness toward anyone who has wronged you. Prayer like this can move mountains and change the hearts of men. Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. – Mark 11:24 So let’s use this amazing, powerful gift for the good of our country! Lord, we come together before your throne as a people who believe in your love, your grace, and your power. We know that only what you establish is worthy so please direct our prayers as well as our words, and actions. Thank you Father for healing President Trump. We ask for his continued healing and strengthening. And we pray for all who are exposed and/or sickened with Covid-19. Show us the best ways to combat this. Protect us, Father, from the lies and deceit being fed to our population. We pray that you would shut the mouths of those spreading fear and lies just as you shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel. (Daniel 6). You protected and sustained him because of his great faith – he was more concerned with your laws, not the laws of men. And while the Bible encourages us to be law-abiding citizens, some laws are unjust and are overruled by God’s commands. We acknowledge that it is our responsibility to obey, trust, and submit to your will and we choose to trust that whatever you ordain will be for our benefit and your glory. We lift up Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, and pray for her confirmation. Surround her with your angels. Protect her from the lies and accusations that are coming. Anoint her mind to stay focused on you and her tongue to honor you with every word. We pray favor upon this appointment so that for many years we will have a courageous, righteous warrior fighting on the front lines for truth and justice. We thank you Lord that we are able to come to you. Philippians 4:6 tells us to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” We will follow your Word and await your answers. Praise you Lord! Amen Additional Reading:

Why pray?Lifting our elections up to the Lord helps all of us keep the focus on the most important topics as well as softens our hearts to love everyone, even those with whom we may disagree. Believing differently shouldn't stop us from sharing God's love and His Word with others. Archives
