I will be an Election Judge today and will not post a prayer.  But I will be logging in for our Zoom prayer time right at 5pm.  Hope you can join us!
PRAYER POINTS TO GUIDE YOU AS YOU PRAY
  • Pray for each American going to the polls today.
  • Pray for wisdom for voters as they consider the candidates.
  • Pray for voters to be safe and that polling places will be peaceful and organized.
  • Pray for those in election offices who will be responsible for counting the votes of the people.
  • Pray about court challenges that are or will be underway and for the judges who will hear them.
  • Pray that Christians will seek unity with one another regardless of political persuasions, knowing that it is God’s purposes that are being worked out.
  • Pray that the candidates, whether in victory or in defeat, will be ready to accept the election results.
  • Pray, as close to half of the nation will be disappointed in the results.
  • Pray for compassionate understanding to those and from those whose positions differ greatly from your own.
  • Pray for pastors and leaders of America’s churches and the follow-ups they will take to the election results when speaking to their congregations.
  • Pray for national healing.

    Why pray?

Lifting our elections up to the Lord helps all of us keep the focus on the most important topics as well as softens our hearts to love everyone, even those with whom we may disagree.  Believing differently shouldn't stop us from sharing God's love and His Word with others.
"I pray because the need flows out of me all the time – waking and sleeping. It doesn't change God- it changes me.”
    - C. S. Lewis
