What should we be praying for amidst the chaos, the lies, and the evil which we are seeing? The greatest prayer is also the simplest: “God, may Your will be done on Earth.” While no one knows exactly what God has in store for America, we can have peace and assurance in knowing that He is fully in control and He works out His perfect plan to our eternal benefit. Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you, Lord, that in this world where there are powers that strive against You, organizations of great wealth that dismiss Your Word, that You hear us as individuals, that our voice is raised up to You and You have the power to break the chains of darkness over this land. We pray, Lord, that Your Spirit would empower each believer. Strengthen us in faith. Give us clear minds. Give us persuasive voices. We ask that You would please bless this country and the people who call upon You. Lord, our president carries an enormous burden. The decisions made by the President of the United States affect the lives of people not just in our nation, but all over the world, and he especially needs your touch to lead. Strengthen him, Lord. Give him wisdom and grace. Let him speak and act with honesty and integrity in all situations. Give him a glimpse of how much you love him and how much you love the world you created. Draw him to yourself, Jesus, into an ever-closer relationship with you. Anoint him with your Holy Spirit. Speak to him in the quiet moments as well as amid the chaos. Soften his heart and make him a true servant leader. Bring strong, wise, and spiritually mature people to surround him. Speak truth to him through the voices of those he trusts. Give him wisdom to reject the voices of those who would urge him to seek only personal power, vengeance, or glory. Let him know, deep in his soul, that only with and through YOU is the victory won. Only through your power is our country and our world made whole. And finally Lord, we tell you how grateful we are that you hear the prayers of your children and we give you the glory for all victories last night during the debate. We know that it is by your hand that we are saved, that we are guided, and that we are corrected. Each victory can be laid at your feet and we praise You for your goodness towards us. May you continue to bless the conservative movement and direct us in YOUR plan. (Rev 7:12) “Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever!” Amen. “I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze. And cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness. And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.” Isaiah 45 AS THE LORD LEADS, PRAY FOR

It is imperative that we pray faithfully for the upcoming elections, yet our hope and trust is not in the results of elections! That may sound strange but the reality is that the spiritual and moral issues facing this nation will not be resolved in the White House, Congress, or the Supreme Court. What the United States desperately needs is another Great Awakening! The Church must experience a revival that awakens her to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ in her midst. Such a spiritual awakening within the people of God has the power to bring about true cultural transformation in this nation. Meanwhile… -The Bible commands us to pray for those who are in leadership. This includes those who are vying to become leaders. (I Timothy 2:1-4). I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. -Godly leaders can help slow the erosion of religious liberties in our land. This can provide an increased window of opportunity for the Church to pray and evangelize. -According to your Scripture, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Proverbs 14:34). The selection of leaders who understand and lead according to God’s righteous standards can bring great blessing to a nation. -Your Holy Word also says in Proverbs 11:14, “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisors make victory sure.” The determination of who leads our nation will also determine who advises that leader and how we are guided. SPECIAL DEBATE PRAYER: Lord God, We come together, in agreement, everyone who is praying for our President Trump right now. Please protect him as he prepares for the debate tonight. Extinguish ALL the flaming arrows from the evil one. We pray the COMPLETE armor of God surround President Trump, your promise in Ephesians 6:10-17. Silence the powers of the dark world. Give him the exact words that we all need to hear. Make people’s hearts receptive to the message you intend. Have us ALL respond and act in accordance to your Will. We pray the presence of the Holy Spirit would REIGN in that debate room. And that you would give him NOW and the remaining time, a peace that surpasses ALL understanding, Phil 4:7. Romans 8:28 you state that “And we know that in ALL things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”. May he rest in You & not depend on self. Let his responses tonight be an example of 2 Timothy 1:7, For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and sound mind. Thank you Lord. In your HOLY, precious and POWERFUL name. Amen. AS THE LORD LEADS, PRAY FOR

Dear heavenly Father we pray for the world and all its leaders. May leaders of nations have the courage to walk the path of peace together so that the most vulnerable in our lands may live with dignity and hope. Father we pray for our nation in this time of discernment, election, and transition. May all citizens cast their vote in a spirit of reverence for what is right, charity for those they disagree with, and concern for the good of all as we strive for a more perfect and peaceful union. Father we pray for all Christians and people of faith and goodwill. May the Father of all grant us through Christ a spirit of wisdom and understanding, counsel and knowledge, fortitude, right judgment, patience, and kindness, as we discern what is good and just and follow our conscience. Father we pray for all candidates who desire to serve in our national and local government. May all seeking election commit themselves to the common good and encourage a peaceful response so that our nation may be faithful to its pledge of liberty and justice for all. Father we pray for our President. May he who seeks the immense responsibility of the highest office of the United States know the peace that comes from God alone. May he and his family be protected from harm, the hearts of his opponents be softened by mercy, and may God forgive him and each of us our faults. Father we pray for reconciliation among families and friends divided. May we learn to love each other despite our differences and focus on the work that continues beyond this election: the work of unity, respect for one another and for all life, and peace in our land. Father we pray for the ones most affected by the choices we make. In all we do, may we keep the merciful face of Christ ever before us who is seen in those who are poor, those who are sick or without homes, those without food or meaningful work, those unborn, and those whose lives are unvalued. Amen AS THE LORD LEADS, PRAY FOR
“A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency or simply to swell its numbers.” – Ronald Reagan Exodus 14:14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. 2 Chronicles 7:14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. Exodus 17:15-16a And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi (The Lord is my banner)…For hands were lifted up to the throne of the Lord... A Prayer for Those Who Are Battle Weary Some days get hard. We feel exhausted. Worn. Tired of fighting. About ready to give up. Feeling like we can’t go on. Struggling through defeat. The enemy seems to be hot on our trail. And we wonder if we’ve been left on our own. For those who are battle-weary, His Truth over us for this day is… We’re not alone. Not ever. God won’t let go, though we may struggle with the lies that He’s left us fending for ourselves in hard times. His Word is filled with reminders that He fights for us still today. It never says this life will be easy. He never promises that we won’t get weary, or that we won’t face an enemy or a giant. But He does say we can come to Him and He will give us rest (Matt 11:28). He does promise to fill us with the power of His Spirit and that His joy will be our strength (Neh 8:10). He does remind us that the battle is not ours but the Lord’s (2 Chron 20:15). He does say that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness in this life (Eph 6:12). None of us are immune. Life is hard some days. And often there’s not even just one “big” thing, but just lots of little battles that can drain us dry. Parenting, marriage, job, relationships, fears, worries about the future, experiencing loss, discouragement, illness, money problems – it all can leave us beaten down and worn. But, praise God, He gives us one another to help in times when we just feel like, “I can’t anymore…” We’re all in this together; let’s help each other today. Give an encouraging word, smile at someone, write a note, send a text, buy someone a coffee, pray for another soul and let them know that you’re praying, anything, just to remind a fellow believer that you’re holding up their battle-weary arms. And that you’re with them. And God is with us. Dear God, The battle feels intense some days. We get tired and weak, weary and worn. It’s hard to keep going in the face of defeat. But help us to remember that you will never leave us, that you’re our Refuge and our Strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46). We know that the enemy wouldn’t be fighting so hard against us, if we weren’t making a difference for your Kingdom. He wouldn’t be trying so hard to stop us, if he didn’t think you had so much good still in store. Remind us that the battle belongs to you, and whatever we’re up against can be taken down in one fail swoop by your Mighty Hand. Help us to trust you more, to never waste time spinning our wheels and wrestling or fighting in our own strength. Please forgive us Lord for the times we’ve failed to lift our hands to you, for the days we’ve forgotten to come to you first. Fill us with the Power of your Holy Spirit this day. Fill us with your joy, fill us with your wisdom and discernment, fill us with constant reminders that Your Presence will go with us, and you will give us rest. AMEN Let us also pray as the spirit leads for: -First Lady, Melania Trump, protection and healing. -For safety as the President travels today -For the negotiations between the speaker of the House and Trump’s admin on the coronavirus aid -For God’s will to be accomplished through U.S. government proceedings “My hope is that when I die, all of hell rejoices that I am out of the fight.”

Why pray?Lifting our elections up to the Lord helps all of us keep the focus on the most important topics as well as softens our hearts to love everyone, even those with whom we may disagree. Believing differently shouldn't stop us from sharing God's love and His Word with others. Archives
