www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5zclkiQLWU Great song to remind us of what is true and most important. THE LORD REIGNS! Let all the people sing of Your awesome power in all the earth Let darkness tremble at Your name Why do the nations rage when the King is on His throne? Now and forever You will reign PRAISE YOU LORD - YOU DO REIGN! Keeping It
Keep my teaching as the apple of your eye. – Proverbs 7:3 Downsizing… could there be anything more daunting than sifting through your worldly goods, sorting them into groups of “trash it,” “donate it,” or “keep it?” While some find reorganization refreshing, most people stress a bit in the process. As America moves into new days of leadership there will be a natural restructuring. Certainly, there are policies from the past that are better left to fall away. However, America’s Christian heritage is a critical structure, the lifeblood of society and it must be kept. But how will a divided nation do it? The Apostle Paul sets an example. In his choice to follow Christ, he went from a high position in Jewish society to a prisoner, jailed by his former colleagues. Some actually sought to put him to death for his confessions of faith. Yet he counted the cost of his discipleship and deemed it worth keeping. “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith, that I may know him and the power of his resurrection” (Philippians 3:8-10). Pray for America’s leaders to see the nation’s Christian heritage as valuable, and worth keeping. Ask that believers serving in government will be like Paul, choosing to proclaim their faith regardless of the cost. Recommended for further reading: 2 Timothy 4:3-8

Today, several states are still in the process of counting votes and aim to have final results tallied within the next few days. Neither President Donald Trump or former Vice President Joe Biden have enough electoral votes to officially take the election at this time. On Thursday, many of the close state races had narrowed even further as state and local officials continued to work overtime to tally the ballots. In states where the candidate votes were separated by only a few thousand votes, recounts are expected. Judges in several states are reviewing additional legal cases surrounding concerns of potential voter fraud. The president will meet with administration officials and campaign staff. He is expected to remain at the White House in order to monitor the ongoing election results. AS THE LORD LEADS, PRAY…
Teach Others The commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light. – Proverbs 6:23 Most people can recall one or two teachers who made major contributions to their student lives. Others might be remembered for negative reasons. Eighty percent of what you have learned in life is a direct result of someone teaching by word or deed; the remaining 20 percent being the result of “the college of hard knocks.” Teaching is both an art and a science. Every person is a teacher at one level or another, whether by skills, talents, spiritual giftedness, or the life being lived. Learning is essential to one’s existence. Like food nourishes the body, information nourishes the mind. In today’s verse, “the teaching” is the words and commands of God. Properly taught, it becomes light for your life journey. If you wish to teach others, study God’s Word, relay what you have learned to others, live out what you’ve learned, then study some more. To teach well, learn discernment from the Holy Spirit so that you might pass it on. Even as you continue your own learning, beware of false teachers. Remember that all Scripture is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness… a pattern that is self-repeating the more you learn. The chaplains in the House and Senate, as well as military chaplains, are students of God’s Word. Pray for them and their effectiveness as they pass their knowledge on for the illumination of others. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. – 1 Peter 3:12 The battle for the White House continues and hope is very much alive. God is revealing so many frauds and providing opportunities for us to "clean up the swamp" in states as well as D.C. Trump is the man for this job because he doesn't give in or give up. He has always continued to fight in the face of difficulty. I heard something this morning that resonated in my heart and mind. "We hit the beaches November 3rd. That was our spiritual Normandy. We hit the beaches. We are moving inland. Are we taking some hits? Yeah, we’re taking some hits. But guess what? We’re gonna overcome it.” That’s the hope and courage that comes from placing our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ! A NATION IN NEED Is America divided because the nation has turned its back on God? Is the current uncertainty a test of America’s faith and patience in order to bring restoration? Perhaps. Even if that is not the case, it is essential for God’s people to keep in a close relationship with the Father. As 1 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” There is one source of true healing. Hosea 6:1 – Come, let us return to the Lord, for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After the death of King Jeroboam II, Israel declined rapidly and everywhere anarchy prevailed. Hosea’s prophecies focused on that nation’s moral waywardness and her breach of the covenantal relationship with the Lord. Judgment was imminent. In today’s verse, Hosea was pleading with the nation to be restored. “Come and return,” he says. Yes, things had been very difficult for them, but God who allowed those things stood ready to forgive them and grant them a new beginning. The Lord chastised them, but as a loving parent, he remained ready to be restored to them. Today as it was then, He is ever full of grace and love for His people. God is a Righteous Judge, but He is also our Redeemer. Lord Jesus, our hearts grieve for our nation as we see its divisions and its misdirections as well as the lies, the deceit, and the evil that is roaming freely in our land. Your Word has given us the prescription for healing in 2 Chronicles 4:17. Lord, if there is anything between us and You that needs our repentance, we ask your forgiveness now so that we might keep a clean slate between us. We love our fellowship with You and detest anything that separates us. Lord we pray - For God to be at work in and through those counting ballots. - For the results to be finalized with transparency, truth, and honesty. - For wisdom and guidance for the president as he continues to lead the nation through the uncertainty as states finish counting ballots. - For patience and encouragement as we wait - Against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places - Against discouragement and depression that is so easy to fall into when battles drag on In the midst of the confusion and strife we are seeing many victories already and are thankful for your hand in these. -We are grateful that Tarrant County held every lection except two constables. Keep Tarrant Red was successful! -We are thankful that Texas also pushed back and showed everyone that we are still a Republican stronghold. No major losses and several gains. -We are very, very thankful that Congressman Chip Roy bested abortion queen Wendy Davis. How many lives are potentially saved in that race alone? -We are thankful for the new amendment to Louisiana’s constitution that says there no guarantee of the right to abortion or the right to funding for abortions. Woo Hoo! This strengthens the “trigger” law they already have in place that would immediately outlaw abortion in LA if/when Roe v Wade is overturned. The earthly battles are not over but God is still on the throne and He reigns supreme. We can never stop reminding ourselves of his sovereignty nor his goodness and provision. He loves His children and will never forsake them. We praise you Lord for who you are yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We are in awe of your wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth which are infinite, eternal, and unchangeable. Have mercy on us and our country. In your precious son Jesus' name, Amen. We know the Democrats will try to claim victory even if they have not earned it. Praise the Lord that we have retained the Senate and Texas has stayed solidly Red. Is a Civil War coming? Is it already here? Rest up when you can, friends, because the fight is just beginning and I'm not sure when or if it will ever end. The Bible says this about the battle: Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith." 1 Pet. 5:8-9 "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." 2 Cor. 10:3-5 "In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." Rom. 8:37 "But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one." 2 Thess. 3:3 When we belong to Christ, the enemy never has the final word over our lives. We are secure in God's hands. Press on – courageous and free – never held back by fear or defeat. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has the final victory. Quiet Your Heart Psalm 46:10 – Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Being still is foreign to most Americans. There’s so much going on. Noise assaults your ears from every side. Your to-do list is never done. God wants you to cultivate stillness in your life. Quieting yourself is intentional. One way to capture it is to take your focus off the things that are not in your control. Slow down physically when you can. Seek times of refreshment in God’s Word. Seek release from your anxieties through prayer. Your best reminder for being still is God’s reassurance that He is still in control. He is sovereign; He has a plan and a purpose, and He is working it. My Heavenly Father, thank You that I can know that just because the world around me is in chaos, it doesn’t mean I need to join in. Thank You that You have provided in Yourself a safe place…a sanctuary…to which I can retreat when I am anxious. Forgive me for trying to assume the responsibility for things I have no control over. Give me the peace promised by Jesus, “not as the world gives,” but true peace that comes from being still with You. Thank You for loving me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. As the polls closed on Tuesday and with counts still in process, President Donald Trump announced that he would address the nation from the East Room of the White House. Even if the election is still undecided, former advisor Kellyanne Conway who is working with the president’s campaign team said that the president would speak sometime overnight. Due to delays in the final results, the address was pushed back until early Wednesday morning. The president, congressional leaders, and the nation continue to watch the results in anticipation. While he is expected to remain at the White House today, the president’s official schedule is highly subject to change as he meets with campaign officials and national leaders. Why pray?Lifting our elections up to the Lord helps all of us keep the focus on the most important topics as well as softens our hearts to love everyone, even those with whom we may disagree. Believing differently shouldn't stop us from sharing God's love and His Word with others. Archives
